1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Hidden Towers collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Hidden Towers iOS app.

Hidden Towers is a multiplayer strategy game. The app uses account information, player profiles, and game data so players can sign in, create rooms, join games, play matches, view leagues, and use Player Pass features.

By using Hidden Towers, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Definitions

Hidden Towers, the iOS software program provided by CHRISTOPHER NELSON BARLOW.

3. Information We Collect

Hidden Towers collects only the information needed to operate accounts, multiplayer gameplay, leagues, and app functionality.

Password authentication information handled by Firebase Authentication

Hidden Towers does not store passwords directly. Passwords are handled through Firebase Authentication.

Gameplay and App Data

Room codes and tournament codes
Player colors
Moves, board state, game state, turns, scores, wins, losses, and match results
League credits, leaderboard data, and recent game history
Player Pass QR information based on your Player ID

Usage Data and Analytics

Hidden Towers uses Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics for basic usage and performance analytics. This may include general usage events, technical information, device type, operating system, session activity, and diagnostic information.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

Hidden Towers does not collect or request the following information or device permissions:

Real names
Precise location data
Contacts
Photos or photo library access
Camera access
Microphone access
Bluetooth data
Health or fitness data
Payment card information
Device sensor data

Hidden Towers does not show ads, does not use advertising networks, and does not track users across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.

5. Player Pass Information

The Player Pass page may display your username, Player ID, and a QR code. The QR code is generated from your Player ID and may be used by a host to add you to tournament-style play.

If the Player Pass page includes editable fields such as date of birth or notes, those fields are intended for on-screen display or printing only. Hidden Towers does not store those date-of-birth or notes fields in Firebase or in the app database.

6. How We Use Information

The Company may use collected information for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain the Service, including account login, game rooms, online multiplayer, and app functionality.
To manage your account, including your email address, username, Player ID, league credits, and profile information.
To operate gameplay, including room codes, board state, turns, scores, match results, and tournaments.
To display leaderboard and league progress, including league credits and recent game history.
To improve the app, including analyzing general app usage, diagnosing problems, and improving reliability.
To manage requests, including support, privacy questions, and account deletion requests.
To protect the app, including preventing abuse, troubleshooting errors, and maintaining service integrity.

7. Third-Party Services

Hidden Towers uses Google Firebase services to provide core app features.

Firebase Authentication for email/password account login.
Cloud Firestore for storing user profiles, usernames, Player IDs, game rooms, game state, league credits, and match history.
Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics for basic usage and performance analytics.

Hidden Towers does not use Firebase Storage, Cloud Functions, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Cloud Messaging, push notifications, or advertising SDKs for the current version of the app.

These services are provided by Google. Information processed by Firebase and Google Analytics may also be subject to Google’s applicable privacy and data processing terms.

8. Sharing of Information

Hidden Towers does not sell personal information.

Some information is visible to other players as part of normal gameplay. This may include usernames, Player IDs, player colors, room status, moves, game state, scores, league credits, leaderboard rankings, and match results.

Hidden Towers does not include public chat, private messaging, comments, profile bios, user posts, or other user-generated public text features.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of users, to prevent abuse, or to protect the operation and security of Hidden Towers.

9. Data Retention

Hidden Towers retains account and gameplay data for as long as needed to operate the app, maintain account access, support multiplayer features, display leaderboards, preserve game history, and protect app integrity.

Some game records may remain after account deletion if needed for leaderboard integrity, tournament history, abuse prevention, legal reasons, or technical backup limitations. Where possible, data may be deleted, anonymized, or no longer actively displayed.

10. Account Deletion and Data Requests

Users may request deletion of their Hidden Towers account or personal information by emailing:

Account deletion requests must be sent from the email address associated with the account. Please include both your username and Player ID in the request so the account can be identified.

Hidden Towers does not currently provide an in-app account deletion button. Account deletion requests must be sent by email.

11. International Data Processing

Hidden Towers is operated from Georgia, United States. Information may be processed and stored by Google Firebase and related service providers on servers located in the United States or other countries. Data protection laws may differ depending on where you live.

By using Hidden Towers, you understand that your information may be processed in locations outside of your state, province, or country.

12. Security

The security of your information is important to us. Hidden Towers uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore security rules to help protect account and game data.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Children’s Privacy

Hidden Towers is not directed to children under 13.

The app requires only an email address and username to create an account. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information and wants it deleted, they may contact us at:

14. Links to Other Websites

Hidden Towers may contain links to external websites or services that are not operated by us. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s website.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of third-party websites or services.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.

Changes are effective when posted on this page.

If Hidden Towers later adds ads, purchases, camera access, location, push notifications, public chat, messaging, user posts, or new tracking tools, this Privacy Policy and App Store privacy answers should be updated.
